As of 2025, the coffee planting area in Yunnan has reached 1.463 million mu, accounting for over 98% of the country's annual output. The coffee premium rate has increased from less than 8% in 2021 to 31.6%. In Xinzhai Village, Baoshan City, known as the "Number One Coffee Village in China", coffee farmer Xie Xianwen was once troubled by fluctuations in the international market prices of coffee beans and had difficulty improving their quality due to diversified operations.
